The info for the AM Max sggests that you need 26 volts for full power in AM mode. I hope that stabilized 26 volts does not mean regulated since those supplies are not easy to find. BTW, the pictures of the AM transmitter do not show much space for a heat sink, which almost certainly would be necessary with that much power.

It says up to 26V.

Try looking for 24 volts and you will find something.
If not, drop us an email, we have 24V units.

The transmitter uses highly efficient PWM modulator,
which generates almost no heat at all.

The output transistor works in "C" class and is also very efficient.

So the original heat sink is good enough, although I'd recommend
a small PC-style fan, blowing across the PCB. And you can screw the
board to the metal enclosure.

IS a regulated supply necessary? I have a stereo with power supply of 29 volts of at least 4 amps. I can completely disconnect this from the receiver. Thanks

Yes, of course, it needs to be stabilised.
