Am Max Transmitter

I was wanting to know, if the SE3 stereo encoder could be installed on the am transmitter. I recently found am stereo broadcasts in my area.

Some more ideas about LPAM and advantages of AM MAX II DSP:
1.) Linear amplifiers that need to be used for AM are not efficient and
produce a lot of heat. This is why you want to modulate the output stage
directly.
AM MAX II DSP is designed that way and modulator can be easily
used and modified to directly modulate a much stronger output stage,
in the hundreds of watts class and more. Without modulation degradation!
2.) You do need that power, unless you have a really spectacular
antenna you can't do shit with 100mW on MW. A piece of wire will
literally give you just a few meters of range.
3.) Our PLL is designed with extreme isolation from the output stages.
Exact technology used is a secret. Its a bit more complicated, but
this means that you can easily run 100W-1000W output stage in the
same enclosure without any VCO pulling. This shows on audio quality,
too.

These high output stages sound very interesting!
Are they very complex modifications to the existing design?
I would be interested in 400w and 1000w - does the parts count/cost increase with these higher outputs?
Also what sort of power supply would be required for this?
These units could become a serious competitor to a commercial AM transmitter, depending on the cost of the modified output stage and upgraded power supply!

Well, it requires a whole new output stage, capable of delivering
100-1000W. But the modulator can be modified quite easily, by
paralleling a couple mosfets to provide more current to the
transmitter.
Current output stage can be set in CW mode and set to full
to provide 10-30W drive to the output stage, which should be
enough to drive it to 500-1000W.
