In the example 88.0Mhz is used, each element works out at around 30 inches in long.
A simple easy and effective way to cut dipole elements.

300 divided by 88.0= 3.40
3.40 divided by 2= 1.70
1.70 multiplied by 0.895=1.52
1.52 multiplied by 39.3=59.95
59.95 divided by 2=29.97 inches

OH REALLY??

Is there a Diameter of the Element(tubeing size) correction factor included?

What is the intended method that is gonna be used to match the Dipole to the Coax Line?..Gamma Match?..Hairpin Match?or Just Plain old Cut and Trim Elements to resonant length for lowest SWR WITH A DEcoupleing Balun??

Check this out and always remember this FORMULA.

11803 WHICH WE CALL F=FREQUENCY IN MHz and the resultant formula =11803 divided by F GIVES THE WAVELENGTH(LAMBDA)IN INCHES
SO FOR 88MHz

A) 11803/88Mhz ==134.125 inches..rounded off the Four significant fugures
becomes 134.1 inches

B) Now for a HalfWavelength 134.1 DIVIDED BY 2, or multiplied by 0.5 =67.05

C)FOR A 1/4 WAVELENGTH DIVIDE BY 4 OR MULTIPLY BY 0.25

TO CONVERT TO CENTIMETERS USE THIS FORMULA...INCHES x 2.54 = CENTIMETERS

SO THE FINAL BALL PARK FIGURE

WOULD BE 67.05 OR 67 INCHES FOR A MIDPOINT REFERENCE..IF A SPLIT DIPOLE ARRANGEMENT IS MADE..THEN DIVIDE BY 2 =33.525 INCHES

AND THAT CAN BE CONSIDERED

Haitians on Ice? Where can I get tickets Norm? Is Tonya Harding in this years production?

I AM THE ONE THAT HAS PLACED THEM ON THIN ICE

Tanya Harding is too soft an approach to deal with them.
