I have tried to make this so called *simple* unit work on several occasions, and countless hours later...

And still nothing !!! :x

I would appreciate some help on this little project. I have all the correct values and parts on hand...

You may contact me at teken26200@hotmail.com

Just a quick note, this thing does work, but it is merely a demonstration of
what can be done with digital circuits. It oscilates at 20-40 MHz and what
you hear on the radio is 3rd or 5th harmonic.

But as far as stability and audio quality are concerned, you'll be very
dissapointed. Its just a proof of concept, nothing more.

Hey, did you check the simplest AM transmitter? Its a program that
turns your PC monitor into Am transmitter.

I understand the concept of your circuit. :) The carrier frequency is generated by a Schmitt trigger NAND gate with a feedback loop and it
is tunable with the 33pF capacitor. It looks good for sending out morse codes. However, I don't understand how any voice signal picked up from the mic can be transmitted. :( Also, what does the optional 10uH do at the output of the buffer?

wow, you guys are so cool.

This is so cool. I am a junior in highschool in an electronics technology program at a voc. tech. school. I think that its cool all this stuff, about the chips, and the transmitting. COOL.

Well, microphone sort of modulates this oscillator. It doesn't sound
that good, but it works, just barely.

As for the 10uH, give it a try and you'll see what it does. Check it out
with an oscilloscope.
