VSWR Protection

Hey,

I just got my 300W amp. It's built using a MRF151G chip. I've got temperature protection on it. Currently, my transmitter has forward and reverse power rating, as well as the VSWR protection. It supplies the drive for the amp, however, the amp has no VSWR protection. I'm thinking I should have it VSWR protected but not sure if it's at all possible now that the amp is fully built.

Thanks for opinions.

It is of course possible. I'd google the net for VSWR protection.

You'd need to make a SWR bridge (high swr sensor) and turn
off the TX (perhaps only exciter - driver) when high SWR occurs.

But how is your amp rated? Is it rated to be able to withstand
high SWR?
