I got a ticking sound (low freq) when running MAX PRO I, same if I don't connect any input. The strange thing is that the ticking disaperes if I set the dissplay in "TEST" mode or all other modes but showing frequency.

Bad PLL/LCD or grounding problem?

Just disable PLL Unlock PWR down and this problem will go away.
