Power level's save

I use my PCI MAX 2006+ in stand along mode with power supply 15 V and mini LCD module. I change power level by LCD module but after power off/on I see max power level most often. Why?
After changing power press the menu key again to exit the power menu.
Power setting is saved when you exit the power menu.
