Distortion

Hi ppl,
I've been broadcasting with PCI Max 2005 a few months now and I've noticed distortion is some of the tunes. Can this be rectified?

Explain distortion, in what cases does it occur? You're probably
over-modulating, reduce audio level a bit.

Ok whats happening is in certain tune it muffles not the whole way through though,its seem to be whatever sound effect thats in the song,its kinda hard to explain.

You're probably overdriving it a bit.
Set volume a tiny bit lower, should help.
Also, set EQ in winamp to cut above 15KHz.

I tricked around with equalisers & volume and still no joy, its not happening with every tune but I know its not the tune thats distorted, kinda strange.

Make sure you are using a Line output source like CD/Tape and not driving the PCI Max from your main speaker output. Also check your mixer software settings for overmodulation.
