We're just switching over to 2006 model.

Trust me, you want to wait for 2006, it will be that much
better.

Mark,
Is the card going to be that better or just the drivers. I bought a 2004 and a 2005. Luckly I sold the 2004. Sometimes I feel like a beta tester for the PCI Max card

Expected enhancements for the 2006 model:

- Low pass filter for both channels (15KHz)
- Improved limiter compared to 2005 model
- Additional RF stage for improved isolation and power output
- Increased power output, comparable to old ISA MAX
- Layout changes (power connector moved to backplate
- LED indication of TX power at the backplate
- Improved PLL for a better sounding audio
- Prepared for upgrade to RDS with daughter board
- Prepared for autonomous operation with a box and
a new smaller LCD module
- There are about 10% more components on the new board.
- Prepared to drive our 15W booster or our new 150W amp directly
- Removed old DC/DC module, which failed eventually in about
1% of cases.
- Possibly a heatsink for RF driver and output stage
- Improved power adjustment mechanism
- Fixed compatibility problem with some new motherboards

2004 and 2005 drivers will work with this card without any
changes. RDS will require a genuine 2006 driver (and daughter
board).

We're at the first prototype stage. A few small problems are being fixed
and than its off to the SMD placement facility.

This will probably be the final version of PCI MAX. There have been many
versions over the course of years, starting with the good old mono ISA MAX. We feel that the upcoming 2006 version will be good enough to
call it the final version for years to come.
