How to wire XLR board to AM Max

Well, I finally received my XLR board and am ready to hook it up to my AM Max II DSP, however I didn't find instructions or a schematic in the box to guide me in hooking it up.

It seems like I saw a schematic somewhere here on your web site but I can't seem to find it. How about sending me a link or a PDF file with the particulars.

Regards, Antler

PS. I received the Amp today :)

Hey,

are the cables sticking to the board or not? Not sure
as my colegue prepared this.

If they are, is XLR connector connected already?

Yes the XLR jack is already attached to PC board via three wires.

There is also a coaxial cable for audio out?

And a red wire for positive supply +12v?

Ok, a couple of questions.... Originally, this unit was to be shipped with the XLR board installed so one would assume that everything would be in there so I could easily mount the board inside the box and supply power to it.?

1. Is the unit is grounded through the stand-off and no ground wire is necessary?

2. Where on the transmitter do I get the voltage to hook to the XLR board? I assume I might rob it from where the fans get their power?

3. For the connection to the transmitter, I am guessing that I should solder the sheilded cable to the back of the RCA jack observing the polarity of the jack?

4. What purpose does the pot serve? I assume it is just a volume control to attenuate the signal?

:-?

Look at that regulator 7812. We usually take if from tap 3 of that
regulator.

Yes, you can increase/decrease level, usually its best to set it to full.

Other than the power, I am ready to go. I don't have a picture showing where the 7812 regulator is and I don't see it on the PC board.. More info on the location of the 7812 regulator please?

A-man

PS. I haven't done much soldering over the last 10 years.. Given the changes in my eyes I guess I will have to get one of those bright light / magnifying glass "thing-es." :D
