50KHz is because someone from Norway (or was it Holland?) was nagging
about it daily like his life depended on it ;)

It now also goes down to 86MHz.

I guess both features could be usefull sometimes.

Well it's not working fully :(

The classic section works fine ...
But the rds section has a problem. I can not see in my RDS radio the RT line . Everything that i write in the RT section simple does not apear..

But the PS works just fine also the other parts.

Finnaly i can not close rds (disable it) !!

Any help ?

I fixed RT already, it will be in the next driver coming in a couple days.

I'll be adding many extra features for RDS so the whole RDS window will
become a lot bigger to accomodate all the fields.

Cool also i want to ask what if i conect the mini card with rs232 will it play ?

Sure, that way you get to use all the fancy features immediately.

The program is already at the website, just install it and fire it up.
supports all 40 PS etc.

RS232 port on daughterboard is opto isolated so no problem there, just connect the pins 3 and
5 to rs232 port as shown in instructions.

I'm still tweaking with it, but I thought I would update how it's been going.

For some seeming unrelated reason, my computer's partition decided to become corrupt. So after installing the card on a fresh OS it didn't work with the 2006 driver and I get the "switch slots" message. After installing both the 2004 and 2005 version, at least now the card will operate using the 2004 interface, but RDS obviously isn't adjustable and I'm simply a radio billboard for "www.pc2radio.com". So far I can use the 2006 drivers, but not the interface.

Will the update address these issues?

Not entirely sure what the issue is here. So the actual 2006+ driver did not install?

I'll be installing a fresh pc here and testing drivers, over weekend probably.

Another layout problem I have right now is that there are so many RDS fields
that the program window looks huge ;)

Thinking about how to manage this in a handy way.
I think 20 or 30 PS will be just enough.

Otherwise the RDS operation is smooth now as far as the card itself goes, the carrier
is very clean, there are no phase issues with stereo carrier. I am extremely pleased
with the RDS daugher board.

Is there a way to manually set the IRQ?

From the pcimax2006 file...

-snip-

[Base1]
IRQConfig=3,4,5,7,9,10,11,14,15

Windows plug and play can be a real pain.

I think if we could manually look for an open IRQ, we could eliminate a lot of installation problems.

Did you manually run that wdreg file? It should fix the problem.

It installed, but the 2006 interface failed to work with the card.

Just to repeat, I installed the 2006 software and installed the card with the included 2006 drivers. Upon trying to use the card I got the "change slots" message. The only way to get it to run is with the 2004 interface.

Have you tried moving it just for the heck of it?

I remember a network card I used to have which would only work in one
slot under Win 98 and under yet another slot under xp.

This wdreg program is obviously some utility for the PCI Max.

When I downloaded the 2006 driver the software self installed and configured, or so I thought.

I found the wdreg program in the Pci Max 2006+ directory.

Could you fully explain how to use this program and it's various switches?

Read previous posts in this thread or wait a day or two as this will be updated in the driver.

Here's my actual problem.

The 2006+ driver appears to working.

But, upon boot-up I get a beep and a warning that there is a conflict.

The PCI 2006 card is seen as a network card.

I have to push the F1 key to continue...

I had the same problems as nick. I ran the fixes that were suggested and now I can just hit the icon and I am on the air. I must say that the sound on the low end is better than when I was using 2004 and my distance is much better. Now I have to find another frequency to use as the one I was using is too close to another station in the area and they fight each other on the fringe areas. Used this web site http://www.fmfind.info/ to find another spot.

New version of 2006 driver

Hi
Just tried the new version of the 2006 driver which has appeared in the download section.

No problems installing it at all - and I like the new icon (the system tray icon is still the old one, though, I notice).

LOTS of new RDS fields to play with ....

Cheers

Nick

Damn  , missed that icon in the tray, I'll update it with new build.

Update: I've just uploaded the fixed version with proper tray icon.

Just downloaded the new driver...

Same problem, different icon.

The 2006+ driver appears to working, well sort of.

Upon boot-up I still get a beep and a warning that there is a conflict.

The PCI 2006 card is seen as a network card.

I have to push the F1 key to continue boot.

Someday...
