A beginner myself too... got an interest in it from listening to some of the former pirates in Dublin, Freedom, Sugar, Nova 946 etc

Would like to think I know a bit about radio, but just from what I've read on places like this and Radiowaves - the chance to put it all into practice hasn't come up ...

HI Rob, good luck with the new station, Maplin at Jervis St Dublin & Blanchardstown should be able to sort you with some of those RCA cables, chimney mounting kits etc.
Was planning to start my own low powered station a while back but lack of a transmission site has forced me to put it on ice for a ...

The card is shipped in a plain box and sent registered mail

The registered mail is a bit of a nuisance... i tend not to be around to sign for these things and it causes a lot of hassle.
It's a shame it doesn't come in ordinary mail... although I understand about the risk of sending valuables ...

Thanks for the info, yes I see now that its only the antennas etc that come from the US.

I'm in Ireland and looking at the complete PCI Max kit from PCS (transmitter, booster & PSU). However I'm not sure of the legalities of sending something like this through the post :-?
