Re: Did you get it working?
I am considering purchasing one of these little guys from ebay. They seem pretty cheap for what you get. Fission 7x - did you get yours working? Did you add a filter? How big is your heat sink? I would like to drive mine with a Ramsey FM25B at about 10mW, and I would be happy to get 1W RF out. Any ...

Amplifier Input Power...
Many of the FM transmitter amps on the market list a value for power input and most that I've seen use 1 watts, 4 watts or similar. Would there be a problem driving these amps with a 250mw output or lower transmitter?

Quarter wave antenna
Now, I know there are much better antennas out there than the one I'm
about to propose, but humor me until my roll of RG-213 gets here and I
can finish my half wave dipole.
Question: What's better:
A 1/4 wave "whip" antenna made from a piece RG-213 with both the
center conductor and the ground ...

Re: Double edged Sword question
I found a couple of articles on the net about it.Fission7x wrote:This "skin" effect sounds interesting. Where can I go to read about it?
Seems like a hollow radiaiting element is actually better than solid one! Thanks for help!

Half-Wave Antenna Questions...
I found these formulas somewhere on the net:
492/fo MHz = The length (feet) of a half wavelength dipole in free space.
The specifications call for multiplying the above result by a correction factor read from a graph which is based on the ratio of the length of the half-wavelength to the diameter ...
