In the U.S., the audio for both VHF and UHF TV is FM with 25 khz deviation. The picture is a reduced carrier AM using a single sideband.

Powell was such a shill for the NAB that it was disgusting. I'm sure he helped slow down LPFM, since it had been proposed by the Clinton administration.

At long last, my PCI-MAX arrived! Needless to say, I installed as soon as I could!

My initial impression: The audio is supurb. It sounds as good as anything on the air. I only have the indoor antenna, so I haven't done any range tests.

If you have an ISA card, it's for the older buss. The current PCs use a different and smaller connector.

Part-15 can be very useful in serving a community if one is somewhat enterprising. It is possible to run a mesh of small transmitters to cover a given area as opposed to one higher powered transmitter. The technical logistics are a lot more difficult, but it can be done.

I should have qualified my response. From what I've observed, it's 25 mw into a whip or wire antenna. A dipole is a much more efficient antenna.

Do you live in a US possession or territory? If so, you can also cover your island with Part-15 100 mw AM. You could augment your FM signal with the AM coverage
