Well, as far as the PCI max goes.. install the software and whatever the settings are on the software that's what your PCI max will be operating at. I have not used the 5 watt amp, so I don't really have any info on that for you.

If you leave the transmitter on it causes wear and tear. As with any electronic device, you shouldn't leave it running when you're not using it in order to preserve the life of it.

Define package. Are you getting JUST the PCI MAX ULTRA? Or are you buying an actual package deal where it includes an ...

Maybe it's your method of connection? Are you using RCA's? Are you using the same set for both your record and CD player? Is it like a humming noise? If it is, it could be something to do with the connection from your record player to your sound card.

In a tree... Funny you mention that. I had mine mounted in a tree and was getting 20+ miles of range on 100 watts. You know what I mounted it with? DUCT TAPE... really, no joke.. just use about half a roll on it and that damn thing will never come off.

Why can you only broadcast in 1 direction? Unless of course, you are using a directional antenna. Even so, you will still radiate a signal in all directions.. it's just more powerful where the antenna is pointed.

Hi there!

Well, you could construct your own power supply.. but with being new to all of this I would recommend against it. You can buy a wide variety of power supplies at radio shack. You may be able to use your CB SWR meter.. but i'd recommend buying the one on this site. Also, an SWR meter isn't ...

you read the chart wrong. 900mm is 88mhz range (full extension). and 400mm is 110mhz (which you will never use). So for example, if I were to operate at 100.1mhz, the length of the upper element would be about 600mm.

Sounds like you may be getting exceptionally high SWR (due to antenna problems more than likely). To tune the comet antenna you adjust the height of the upper element according to the frequency you are operating on (i'm not sure of the measurements offhand, someone please post them here). Hmm, you ...

I have DRS2006, actually purchased it. While it is time consuming to set up it's certainly worth it. I never took the time to set it up, but I have saw it in action and messed around with it. Winamp always did just fine for me, except having to find a song in a 200 song playlist really quickly when ...

300 watts, wow. Be careful with that much juice. If I were you i'd just keep it on 20. I was happy with 25 watts for a long time, but then just HAD to up the power. It was the power combined with the profanity that screwed me. If I would've just stayed on 25 watts i'd probably still be on the air ...

Do you live in a highly populated area? Medium sized town, small town? United States even? By what you've said thus far, your chances of getting caught aren't THAT large.. as long as you're not interfering with anyone else. The thing that got me *almost* in trouble was being vulgar on the air and ...

What's there to pinpoint when you're not radiating a signal? I think you're just fine. How long have you been on the air? How much power are you running? How many people know about your station? Format? Talk on it? Censored/Uncensored? Sorry for asking so many questions :)
